The Boat That Rocked – Film Review

The Boat That Rocked is a film about the early days of pirate radio offshore from mainland Britain.

The only problem is that the British Government in the heyday of the ‘60’s and also the BBC have strict rules on transmitting a radio station in Britain, so that’s when the ingenious idea comes to transmit on a boat just offshore in international waters, which no government or company has any jurisdiction on breaking the law.

The other problem is that the Musicians’ Union restricted record’s being played on the radio so that there was more ‘live music’ being played keeping musicians in a job.

While the adventure is fun there is a lot of ruffled feathers on the way and when does it all end and how?
